The Stranger 2
I feel that that this book is good. I feel that the book really makes you think about life and how you look at life. I think that from reading this book I find myself thinking more about my life and what what I really think is the right road for me. I also feel that as a teenager looking at college and trying to find their way in life this book helped me do that. It made me see that life is something that I kind of have a say in how somethings go. Whereas some things happen and I have no control over it. I am still a little confused about that all murder thing like I really don't know why he really did what he did, or why he thinks the way he thinks? But I feel that from everything the book was good and can help people out in life

WHO IS THIS GUY?!
So for I like the book. It is one of those books that is not like any other book which I like. I like the love life he has, the friendship he is growing, and his mother's death. I do find it weird as to how he reacts to everything. About when his mom died,to when the old guy Raymond was beating up on his girlfriend, to when he is talking to his girlfriend. I think that is the whole mystery thing about books and people. Because to me he can sound cold and non caring where as to someone else he can just sound sad. I think from that day in th park I notice that we as people or should I just say that me as person makes up stories about people with out even knowing them. And even with books we or "I" do that. Even the author things me about the characters I still add in my on details about the character because you never really know what the author is getting at unless you sit down and talk to them. So to read this book is pretty cool because you don't know what to say or think next.

I <3 Huckabees
From watching I <3Huckabees I feel that I live my life in a world that is meaningful and makes sense at some points. I do agree with Bernard and The Blanket “Everything is the same, even if it’s different.” I feel that even if I am differnet then someone else I am still the same say them because we both have feeling, dreams and wrongs in life. I feel that we all my look different but deep down inside we are all the same. We all scared of something, we all want something some good, and we all want to feel safe. So in away is makes sense and it’s meaninful to me.
But then I sometimes feel that “Once you realize the universe sucks, you got nothing left to lose.” I mean you realize that everything you learn or even cared about does not eve matter because in the end it may not even end the way you wnat it to and then you die. And if that does not matter then do I even matter, which I can is no. At some point in life you are not to matter. People are not going to care about your feeling and what matter where as other points in life people are going to care about what you think and what matters to you. But then who I am to say what matters and what does not matter? Who is anyone to say what matters? Just because you have a bigger degree then someone else doesn’t mean you should be able to say what matters or does it?
And people are telling other people what matter and what does not matter then that goes back to are we really being ourselves? And who is to say that is not the reall you? In the movie both Bernard and Caterine had very good points and ideas about life. I don’t think tat one ideas where better then the other because I am not every person in the world, and I think it depends on what kind of person you are to say who you would agree with. To me I think that if you are more of a happy person you will agree with Bernard, if you are more of a sad/ mad person you will agree with Caterine and if you are in the middle you will agree with both. But then agian who I am to what is happy and what is sad? In the end I think that my life is meaninful and makes sense at some points. And in the end I think the most importnat thing that is meaninful and makes sense is my life, Because I can’t think and speak for everyone in the world, or can I?

My comments to my partners' blogs

Hey Shirley, I kind of disagree with you because I the choice to either give them the money or let them kill my friends but I am still doing what they want them to do so how am I free? To be free is to think of my two choices and them doing what I say but they are not. So really what I think you trying to say is that we are free to make our own ideas and thoughts but really you are not because every second you have so many people telling you what to do or what not to do. And if you do it then you or not free to make you own ideas or thoughts and you do not it them you are still not thinking for your self because someone told you not to do it.

Respond to Part III and/or Part IV
From reading part 3 of Banach's lecture I think that what he was trying to say is that human happiness comes within you. Like how he use The Wizard of Oz and How the Grinch Stole Christmas to show that to get a brain, heart, or courage you have to look deep down inside you and find it. That someone can teach you how to solve a problem in life, how to love someone, or show you how to be brave but in the end it is up to you to use what you know what they showed you to do the best that you can. And that the Grinch was trying to show that life is not about what you have or the external things it is about the people you have in your life. So from reading that I agree about how it is in you to become great and to show what you got, but i do disagree about it is not what you have and the external things. I mean it not everything but it is something, because say someone you love or know died and had nothing, yea you are going to rememeber them because you cared about them but at the same time life has so much going on in that we forget about what we did yesturday so know's if you can rememeber what you did 10 years ago. So by them having something and them leaving it with you so that you have a piece of them every where you go. I just think that human happienss is knowing that we are all different so different things are going to make each of us different, and that as long as we are ok with that and see that no matter how hard we try somethings we do not see eye to eye on then we can all be happy and maybe that we can have human happiness that we are all happy with.
"Are we free?"
What is free? Maybe free to me is different then free to you. So how do we know we are not free? To me to be free is to be able to be open with me. To feel, think and do what I feel like doing at that moment. Maybe to my best friend she just want to think what she wants but not feel, or do what she wants, so I really don't know if we are free but I do feel that I and free. I feel that is am not able to do these things without someone telling me that I am wrong or try and tell me to feel, act, or think in a different way.

HW #2- Comments
To Conor:
I like how you really talked from the heart and said what you felt and thought. How you really showed that some times your thoughts are not all there and how you sometimes think and people may not understand but that is just how we think some times.
I agree with you we are stuck in our own minds. But I also feel that that I some times get confuse when we read the papers on what he is trying to get at and "What's it all mean?".
But I do think that with me saying that I know what you mean I can't not really be that stuck in my own mind because then I would know what you mean and know how you feel when you are confused.
Next time just do more into what you think and feel.
From reading what you wrote me realize that I am not the only one that thoughts come out crazy. That I think what I am thinking will sound crazy to other people but I never know until i say.
Thanks for making me think more.
To Shirley:
I think that it is nice to read someones blog that kind of feels the same way as the Mr. Banach. Imean so many people always disagree with what he says but not you.I feel differently to what you are saying yea I may be not that upset if my grandfather die and you may but I still know how it feels to be upset about something so I could still connect with you on teh thought of being upset about something.

HW # 3
In this life I feel that we can never have a straight answer.
I feel that there are so many people and so many different life styles that we can never really say what is freedom or what is the right why to live life or what does it mean to be real or fake. While reading the Lecture By David Banach I never really felt that what he was saying was true nor did I feel that it was wrong. Banach talked a lot about how we only can say what we feel and never really know what other people are thinking or feeling. But if we are all human shouldn't we kind of know how other people feel? If I know I feel and really understand my feels shouldn't I be able to feel and understand what other people feel?
I mean as humans we connect to each other in some type of way. We may not know right away how they feel but as a person with feelings shouldn't we know how each other would feel. While reading the lecture I felt like he was saying things about how we never know what other people but yet he wrote a whole leature about what we think and how we never have freedom and do not connect with each other. So how can he say one thing but at the same time show something else. Does that mean that he is not being real. Life is just full of things we will never know. We are all different people and will never feel the same way as each other. So I think the bigger question is what is life with out unanswer questions.

What I think that Banach is saying when he says " absolute individuals" is that we are always by ourself. That no matter how much we talk to eachother or feel like we all go through the same thing but we are nothing a like. I feel in the middle, I feel that somethings we go through no one will never know how you feel but something that we go through. Like no one knows how you feel when you fail a test but we all know how it feels to lose someone. Like when someone people faila test they do not care but others start to cry.
1. What can the absolute freedom of absolute individuals means? I think that this mens that we can have the freedom to be us and do whatever we want to do. That people would be able to jugde you or say you crazy because they would be crazy or different just like you.
2. What is human flourishing or human happiness? I think that human flourishing and happinessis when can just be able to do what we want with no one saying anything about us. That we could all get along and no bad things would happen.
3. What ethics or code of action can emerge from a prosition that takes our individuality seriously? We can stop caring about what people say about us. We can just pay more attention to our selves and not on everyone else.
I think that the thing that was the most confusing part was the last line " It is to be an island of subjectivity in an otherwise objective world" I was trying to figure it out with my table but we still was not sure if that is what he was rying to get at.
I think that if would concern me because i love talking to people and like helping people with there problems.
